3D Modelling & Sculpture

This is a concrete sculpture created with the help of 3D modelling.

First I modelled the structure in Rhino. Then I took the design into Slicer in order to create many horizontal cross sections of the negative space. I then cut out each cross section and glued them together to create a mold. After, I poured concrete and let it dry. Finally, I painted the structure to look like ancient ruins.

Ancient Ruins

This sculpture is a scene consisting of a cast of my own hand holding a human heart. The viewer of this sculpture will notice the little man pointing to something on the ground.

When the viewer looks at what he's point to they will be in front of a mirror, seeing themselves in a clock. In this way the viewer is forced to confront their own life and is reminded of how little time they have left. This sculpture may come off as morbid, especially because of the organs, but it's not meant to be taken so negatively. More so, it's a reminder to focus on what's important in life.

Ephemerality

The 3D word "Create" was modelled and animated using Blender, then imported into After Effects for sequencing.

Inspirational Poster

Timothy is a 3D printed fat cat, modelled using Rhino.

His only purr-pose is to illicit joy.

Timothy

A miniature polymer clay sculpture meant to look like a real fish out of water. It was created using layers of translucent clay. His core is red and his skin is a translucent cream color which gives the illusion that he has real meat inside of him.
