About
Hi! I'm Anastasiya Brailko. (Yes like the Disney Princess) It's nice to meet you.
I'm a Visual Communication Designer, but you could also call me a Multimedia Designer because I work with...
Print design and techniques
Photography and photo manipulation
3D modeling
Videography and video editing
Motion graphics animation
UX and UI
Fine art and illustration
and because of that, I use a lot of programs!
InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Rhino, Blender, After Effects, Premier Pro, Clip Studio Ex, Figma
My Story
I've always been creative.
As a kid I created all sort of things from videos to small sculptures to bead working. But I especially studied fine art. When I was 13 I won first place in the Carlsbad Oceanside Art League Junior Show.
Eventually, after going to art school for some time... they hired me! I started out as an assistant teacher until I worked my way up to an instructor.
During this time I learned many important skills and made lots of fond memories. I learned how to plan a project in it's entirety before even starting so that I could guide the students step by step. I learned how to teach and uplift my students, how to keep their attention and motivate them to see the project through to the end, and how to help them problem solve when something went arie. Since I worked this job for three and a half years, I got to see my students grow both as artists and as people.
I was accepted into the Cal Poly Pomona Visual Communication Design Program which is where I studied the many facets of design. To that I also decided to add on a marketing minor in order to deepen my understanding of how design and psychology work together to create influence. Of course this also benefits me by making it so I can work smoothly with the marketing department of any company. The many, many, many projects that I created during this time can be found all around this website!

And then it was time for me to go to college. I chose Graphic Design as my major in order to incorporate two of my interests: art and psychology. I was very interested in continuing down my creative path, but this time I wanted to learn how to use my creativity to uplift people's passions. During my first two years, when I was stuck taking General Education classes, I took on a freelance job to dip my toes into design.
This is the Overture Guitar Pedal by RJM Music Technology. I designed the face graphic on the front.
This is a very funny rendition of The Scream by a student named Amelia.
This is a photo of myself in the middle of two students who I just taught how to paint the bike with flowers.
2021
I had the honor of working on a team to create Cal Poly Pomona's Poly Kroma which was a year long endeavor that taught me many important skills and provided me with valuable experience.
2024
I graduated Cal Poly Pomona with Summa Cum Laude and a BFA in Visual Communication Design with a Marketing Minor. I absolutely loved my time in university and I'm very proud of all of the skills I was able to learn in just a few years. I'm so glad I was able to continue on a creative path and I'm excited to spend the rest of my life dedicated to creative direction and visual design.
